One Year Old - Theodore Parker Roundy

Everyone says it but now I know they truly mean it, how is he one?! I still remember very clearly those 30 hours in the hospital before Theodore joined our family.

In the last year, I have learned so much from Theodore. I'm pretty sure I cry a lot more now, I've learned what being fulfilled really means, my heart has definitely grown three sizes and learned to slow down and just be, and how to enjoy the small things.

Everyone says he is a good mixture of the both of us but I really see his dad. He has my chin and eyes and he has his dad's everything else. Especially his hair!

I always say this but it is 100% true, he loves the outdoors. He can be in the worst mood and you walk outside and he goes quiet. If he sees an open door he'll book it right outside as fast as possible.

He is the most curious little guy. He studies people's faces in a way I've never seen. Looks up and around at everything. If you're holding him he always turns his body away from you so he can look around.

He eats like a grown child. Even Blake and I who are both big eaters are incredibly impressed by his appetite.

He really doesn't play with toys, he is much more content raiding the kitchen drawers and pretending to cook.

He always says da da, says mama when he is sad, and babbles on and on all the time.

He is forgiving in a way I hope I can be someday. Smarter than I'll ever be. And just about the cutest thing I've ever seen.

He is our best and greatest adventure, my best friend and we are incredibly blessed to have him in our lives!

See Ya February

February was a good month. Cold but overall good - very glad it went quick! Theo got to experience his first snow, we did a little road trip to Portland for our nephew's baptism and we celebrated Blakes birthday!

There was a lot of snow but also a lot of sunshine. No complaining here!

Little guy got pretty sick for about two weeks. From a cold to pink eye, to a double ear infection. It was incredibly sad, but we got a lot of cuddles and now he is back to his happy active self!

My parents went to Mexico for a week so we had Zoe with us during the snow days. It was the best! And Theo loved having her around too. Every time she'd wag her tail when he was nearby he would start laughing so hard!

I have to say I'm not sad to see February go. So happy for March and spring!

10 Months - Theodore Parker

People ask me how old Theo is and I'm always shocked when 10 months comes out of my mouth. I know I know I'm shocked with every post that he is getting older. But in just two months I'll have a one-year-old. How did that even happen? I'm pretty sure I don't remember any of it - first he was placed in my arms in the hospital and now I can't get him to hold still long enough to be in my arms. SLOW DOWN!!!!

Oh well, it was worth the try. We are loving just how much he is learning and growing these days. He has been pretty sick the past two weeks. First four teeth started popping through, and then he got a cold which turned into pink eye and then he got an ear infection which of course turned into a double ear infection and a crazy high fever. For how sick he was he handled it pretty well but boy are we happy that we are finally out of the woods and our little guy is back to his happy self.

Last night I was reading to him "Love You Forever" and as it got towards the end I found myself really crying as he crawled all over me as happy as could be. I know someday he'll grow up and have to have his own life but he has become my little sidekick and best bud that I can't imagine life without him. I just love being with him. Hopefully, he is okay with us being bfs forever!

"I'll love you forever
I'll like you for always
As long as I'm living
My baby you'll be."

He loves:
- Climbing stairs.
- Pulling himself up and walking around the coffee table and couch.
- Drinking water (this may seem like a weird thing to add but I've never seen a baby chug water like he does).
- Clapping
- Being in the kitchen with us when we're cooking.
- Giggling
- Pointing and sticking his finger up his nose (as far up as he can get it)
