Getting Your Mojo Back

Remember a few weeks ago when I wrote about to-do lists here, and how much they were wearing me out. Well this week I think I finally hit that wall. From the outside you would have never known, but this morning after getting off the phone with my fiancee I realized something. For the trillionth time this week I was short with him and I hated it. 

As I hoped off the phone I realized I needed to get my mojo back. So I sent him a text and said, "Blake, we need a good carefree night. Bad."

Last night we went to the Olympia Arts Walk and just wandered around with no agenda. And that made all the difference.  We had so much fun wandering around, watching people, sometimes actually looking at art, just not worrying about getting things done.

And no, I'm not saying you should just put all your responsibilities on the back burner. But, sometimes you have long weeks, not bad weeks necessarily, but long. And sometimes you just need to let lose and go do something new and fun. No list, no agenda. That is where you'll get your mojo back.

  1. It's so true! Doing something out of the ordinary daily grind is great for feeling alive and refreshed again. For me, getting out in nature is the best way to do this.
