#thankfultuesday - Gratefulness = Joy

Picture of Washington sunset with quote

Enough said. It is funny, I write this post every single week so you'd think I'm probably so full of joy and gratitude all the time but I've been struggling this weekend and this morning I realized it was because I haven't been as grateful as I should be. The moment I realized that I was like, "DUH Sierra! You know better!". So here is to being much more grateful this week!

I'm grateful....

1. For the springtime weather we are having in February!

2. For the good time I had on Saturday with my friend Tyler as we soaked up the sun on Alki Beach with some longboarding.

3. That I got to make my parents dinner for Valentines Day. We had Balsamic Glaze Steak Rolls and Garlic Parmesan Salmon over Asparagus.

4. For the 12 hours of sleep I got Sunday night.

5. For President's Day. 3-day weekends are the best.

6. That I've been able to start running again.

7. For the local university and their fun basketball games, even if they don't usually win.

8. For best friends who give the best pep talks and remind you that you can do hard things.

9. For the knowledge that I have of a Heavenly Father who loves me and who wants what is best for me.

10. That my sister got engaged this weekend! I'm so happy for her!

What are you grateful for this week?

  1. My family keeps talking about the unusually warm winter they are having in Utah too. We're usually warm down here in Arizona, but it must be a west coast thing!

I'm grateful I get to work from home so I can keep my little baby boy here instead of put him in daycare.

    1. Yeah I still can't believe how warm it is for February. I know climate change is supposed to be bad but I'm kind of okay with it :)

Oh Christy that is so awesome! What do you do that you get to work from home?

    1. If all sports were just college sports the world would be a better place!

  3. Aaah the thought of longboarding in the middle of February... missing summer so hard right now!
And you are right, 3 day weekends are the best. Always have to remember that not everyone gets them from work/school, so important to relax and make those extra free days count!

We are on day 3 of our whole office working from home (because of snow) sooo I am SUPER grateful for that. It feels like a winter vacation for grownups and it was so unexpected!

    1. Oh I wouldn't mind a winter vaca for grownups! Unexpected days off are the best!

  4. OMG it's freezing here in New Orleans (freezing being a relative term since it's like 40 ish degrees--but that's still cold!) I didn't get a three day weekend, but I had yesterday off, so I'm still grateful for that!
