The Liebster Award

Shannon from The Hallway nominated me for The Liebster Award! Go check out her blog. She is all about being real and so much fun! This award is pretty much a way to discover new blogs etc.

Rules: List 11 facts about yourself and then answer the 11 questions asked by the blogger who nominated you. Be sure to link back to the blogger who nominated you, and then nominate bloggers of your choice! Think of 11 questions to ask the ones you nominate.

Here goes nothing..11 facts about myself:
1. I have two middle names, Natasha Camille.

2. I could eat chocolate covered strawberries for days and never get sick of them.

3. I love carbs. Pasta, potatoes, bread you name it. My mom says it will be the death of me, it is a good thing I like fruits and veggies also :).

4. All time favorite show is Psych which also means I love pineapple. If you don't know how pineapple applies to Psych you need to go watch it. Start from the beginning. 

5. When I was little I hated soccer. All my older siblings played it but I refused. I wanted to play baseball. So my mom found me a t-ball team. But when I turned 7 I was too old for t-ball and too young for softball so my mom said it was soccer or nothing. She got me on a team and I never stopped playing. 

6. I'm terrified of snakes. I can't even look at pictures of snakes. It is pretty sad.

7. My all time favorite holiday is Fourth of July. Something about BBQ, summer, lots of people and fireworks just makes me so happy inside! 

8. Speaking of Fourth of July, I'm a firework-pyro. Just fireworks, not fire or explosives, just fireworks. I'm always the person suggesting the really crazy/stupid ideas to do with the fireworks. Like throw them instead of leaving them on the ground, or throwing mortars into water, I could go on. 

9. Growing up I was home schooled until I went into 7th grade and that was only part time and then full time in high school. Because of this I was really only outgoing with people I played sports with and went to church with. My junior year of high school this changed and I became pretty outgoing. A lot of people thought I was a transfer student. 

10. The only bone I've broken is my collar bone. I broke it when I was three because I was climbing up something I shouldn't have...oops.

11. Until I was about 14 or 15 I had no fashion sense whatsoever. Imagine this..bright orange shirt, bright orange shorts, socks that came to my mid-calf, and tennis shoes. That was a regular occurrence in elementary/middle school.

1. What are your three favorite blogs? Let Why Lead, Willivia, and Come Unto Christ which is written by one of my past students. 

2. How did you choose the name for your blog? One of my favorite quotes is "Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured". Life is hard, but it is a little easier when we find the positive in everything, when we find ways to enjoy it! I want my blog to be about my journey to find joy in the journey. 

3. What's your most embarrassing moment of the past week? When I was teaching a spiritual lesson at church and without even realizing it I started referencing Harry Potter. That's about as embarrassing as my life was last week. I'm half proud of it :).

4. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Noodles, anything with noodles.

5. What do you do for a living? I'm the Event Coordinator for the Lacey Chamber of Commerce. 

6. If you could spend a summer living anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Italy. I've never been there but I feel like summers there would be magical!

7. How do you edit your blog photos? I don't edit a lot yet but if I do I use Picasa. 

8. What's your staple clothing item? My vans, all seven pairs. I'm pretty sure I could wear them with almost any outfit.

9. Why did you start blogging? I wanted a place to record my life. My struggles, experiences, travels, joys, everything. I write in a journal but I can't put pictures in there. Plus I always hope that something I go through will help someone else.

10. Do you have any pets, and if so, how did you choose their names? I grew up with a lot of animals, mostly dogs. But my dog passed away about two years ago. But I do partly own a Saint Bernard with my mom. Her name is Sunshine. Honestly I don't know why we picked this name because it is my nickname but she lives up to it :) 

11. What are some of your favorite fonts? Honestly, I don't play with fonts much so I can't say I have any favorites.
